The main goal of any project proposal is to show your client your skills and your ability to accomplish the project with better quality and price than the other businesses competing against you.Below are some tips you need to consider when you’re writing a proposal:
1.Write a strong executive summary
Your executive summary is the most important part of your proposal, most clients mainly focuses on your executive summary so you need to make a great first impression and assume that your client knows a little about the project but keep in mind, your executive summary shouldn’t be more than one page, 3 to 4 paragraphs is enough.
2. Don’t make it too long.
It’s important to write details about the project specs and all that but your proposal doesn’t have to be too long. Focus on quality not quantity.
3.Highlight your strength
Show your key strength to your client, state your prior successful project, customers you’ve worked with in similar project and evident of your capability of doing the project.
4. Focus on the project needs
As it’s important to show your key strength but don’t let it dominate the whole proposal, your main focus should be the client’s project and how you can solve the project needs.
5. Don’t be late
Don’t be late in deliver your proposal. When you complete the proposal read it very carefully couple of times, make sure that there will be no grammatical or typographical errors. Your client should receive the proposal in time.
Your proposal is the step that will change your potential customer to a real one. Make sure to be clear in your content and show your client how your business is the best choice to meet your project needs.
